There were 32 astronauts assigned to the programme, with 12 landing on the Moon. Armstrong flew on Apollo 11, and was the first human to set foot on the Moon, doing so on 21 July 1969. Scott flew on Apollo 9 and Apollo 15, and walked on the Moon in July and August 1971. Shepard flew on Apollo 14, walking on the Moon in February 1971. Filmed in the 1960s. |
