Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, infrared footage. This building, by architect Alvar Aalto, was completed in 1971. At right (tall tower) is part of the National Museum of Finland. Infrared (IR) cameras record wavelengths of light longer than visible red, between the visible spectrum and the shortwave IR used in thermography. At these wavelengths, foliage is highly reflective and appears white, whereas the sky appears darker. Filmed in Helsinki, Finland. | |
