The initial view in this clip is of the KSC Headquarters Building, built in 1965. The next building shown in this clip (from 1 min 15 s) is the Operations and Checkout Building, built in 1964 and used to prepare astronauts for their spaceflights. The final building shown in this clip is the KSC Badging Office (opened in 2008) where accreditation is provided to those visiting the site. These buildings are to the south of the main launch pads, with the large Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) visible on the horizon in some parts of the clip. This footage was obtained in 2012. |
