Launch Pad 39B, Kennedy Space Center, aerial footage. Launch Pad 39B is one of the launch pads forming NASA's Launch Complex 39 at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida, USA. This launch pad was used for the Apollo program, and later for the Space Shuttle program. The last Shuttle launch from Pad 39B took place in 2006. It was modified and used for the single Constellation Program launch in 2009, and since then has been prepared for use in the Space Launch System (SLS) program from 2018 onwards. At the start of this clip, the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB, white) is visible in the background. On the launch pad is a Mobile Launcher Platform and Space Shuttle launch rockets (orange and white). |
