John Young adjusts the remote control TV camera on the front of the rover and then disappears out of view to drive the vehicle across the landing site in the Descartes Highlands. About one minute and 40 seconds into the clip he stops the drive and appears briefly again at the front to adjust the position of the TV camera again, cleaning the lens with a paint brush and then switching it on so that Mission Control can control it. The camera starts to move on its own, looking around the view. The astronauts called this camera Big eye . Date recorded: 1972-04-21 to 1972-04-27 | |
