| Brain aneurysm repair. Post-operative 3D CT (computed tomography) angio scan sequence showing a brain aneurysm in a 38-year-old Asian male patient. This complex aneurysm of the anterior communicating artery is the large mass (pink) at the junction of two blood vessels (blue). Initially a metal coil was inserted into the aneurysm via a catheter, to allow blood in the aneurysm to clot. However the result was unsatisfactory, so a surgical metal clip (red) has been placed at the neck of the aneurysm to seal it. | |
