Dog's legs. Thermographic footage of a dog's front legs and paws. A mirror effect is seen as heat is reflected from the ground. A thermogram shows variation in temperature on the surface of an object, measured by the long-wave infrared radiation it emits. The temperature scale is colour-coded from black (cold) through blue, green and yellow to red and white (hottest). This thermogram footage shows that the tips of the paws are colder than the rest of the legs. The mirror image on the ground is colder than the object causing the thermal reflection. | |
