Glory satellite. Computer artwork of NASA's Glory satellite in Earth orbit. Glory was designed to improve NASA's understanding of Earth's climate system. It was launched onboard a Taurus XL rocket on 4th March 2011 but was lost when the rocket's nose cone failed to separate. This meant it was unable to achieve orbit and fell back to Earth | |
