Cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin's tour of the International Space Station (started in clip K002/3806) continues from Node 1 (Unity) through into the US Destiny Laboratory module. Tyurin starts by explaining about Russian visionary Konstantin Tsiolkovsky before he floats gracefully in to the centre of the lab and anchors his feet in a standing position so he can introduce some of the equipment in here, a lab in orbit, realising Tsiolkovsky's dream. Hanging onto one of the 'magic arm' brackets on the walls he opens a book that he has in his hand and shows us a picture on the frontispiece of Tsiolkovsky. The Cyrillic writing inside tells us that it is Tsiolkovsky's book and it is signed by someone. Tyurin closes it and lets the book float in front of him - finally grabbing it again and opening the page showing Tsiolkovsky's picture. The camera zooms in on it. | |
