Ruins of Native American dwellings at Bandolier National Monument in New Mexico. Once home to the Ancestral Pueblo people, formerly referred to as the Anasazi, this site was occupied from between 1150 and 1600 AD. Some of the dwellings were rock structures built on the canyon floor. Others were carved from volcanic tuff high in cliff walls. | |
