Thousands of clouded sulphur (Colias philodice) butterflies flitting from flower to flower in alfalfa (Medicago sativa) field in Ohio, USA. These butterflies are found throughout much of the US and Canada and are known to gather in fields in late summer by the tens of thousands to mate and lay eggs.
