This Hydra has captured a small Cyclops, a micro-crustacean measuring about 500 microns in length, and brings it toward the Hydra's mouth located at the base of its tentacles. The Hydra is a multi-cellular organism several millimeters in length and can be found in freshwater ponds, lakes and streams throughout much of the world. Recorded under Rheinberg illumination. | |
