Veined octopus (Amphioctopus marginatus) on the seabed, accompanied by a flounder (Bothus sp.). This octopus seeks out old sea shells, particularly bivalves, to provide shelter, often carrying these around as it hunts. It is common to find this octopus using discarded items, broken bottles, tin cans etc, to substitute for shells. Coconut halves are particularly prized, and this octopus is also known as the coconut octopus. Filmed in the Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
