Sally lightfoot crab (Grapsus grapsus) on rocks. These can be found living near the waterline on rocky coasts and outcrops, often in areas with strong ocean spray. They have ten legs, two of which have large front claws. They feed on algae, plant material, and any scavenged animal fragments they can find. Photographed in Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. | |
