Change of command for the International Space Station (ISS). This transition is marked by a traditional ceremony in which all crew members gather. The departing commander gives a speech and hands over the symbolic key of the Space Station to the next commander. Andreas Mogensen (left, born 1976) is a Danish engineer and astronaut. He returned to the ISS onboard the SpaceX Dragon 2 spacecraft for his second spaceflight as part of the Huginn mission in August 2023. One month after launching into space, Mogensen became commander of the ISS, a role he will remain in for the rest of the mission. Huggin will be Mogensen's first long-duration mission where he will work and live for 6 months. He will conduct over 30 experiments on climate, health and space, varying from water filtration to understanding thunder phenomena. He will be the longest serving European commander of the ISS.
