The lime-speck pug moth (Eupithecia centaureata) is a member of the family Geometridae. The distinctive and slender winged pug is on the wing from April to September with one or two broods and is found across the palearctic ecozone. The larvae feed on a wide variety of plants including yarrow, thistle, heather and bedstraw. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in August. | |
