The coxcomb prominent moth (Ptilodon capucina) is a member of the family Notodontidae. There are two generations with the first being May to June and a second in August. This species occurs in woodland and garden habitats and is found across the palearctic ecozone. The larvae feed on a wide variety of deciduous trees. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in April. | |
