The cabbage moth (Mamestra brassicae) is a member of the Noctuidae family and is often viewed as a pest due to the larvae feeding on a wide range of fruits, vegetables as well as crops in the brassicae family. The flight period is usually May to September with overlapping generations and occurs across all of the Palearctic ecozone. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in June. | |
