Jacob Kasanin (1897-1946), Russian-US psychiatrist. Kasanin moved to the USA in 1915 and attended the University of Michigan, graduating as a Doctor of Medicine in 1921 and with a Masters in Public Health in 1926. He continued his studies in psychiatry and neurology and remained in the USA. He is best known for his work on schizophrenia and coined the term acute schizoaffective psychoses. | |
