Dasatinib cancer drug, molecular molecule. Ball-and-stick molecular model of the cancer drug, dasatinib (C22.H26.Cl.N7.O2.S). This oral cancer medication is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and binds competitively to ATP (adenosine triphosphate) binding sites. It is a targeted cancer drug, and works to prevent growth of cancerous tumours. It is used in patients with chronic myelogenous leukaemia and Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Research is being conducted into its use against other types of cancer. Atoms are represented as spheres with colour coding: hydrogen (light blue), carbon (grey), oxygen (red), nitrogen (dark blue), sulphur (yellow), and chlorine (green). |
