Scorpion vetch (Coronilla coronata), a perennial that flowers from May to July, growing in runnels in the Loulle Jurassic limestone pavement, Jura, France. The greenish yellow pea-shaped flowers (it is a legume) are formed in a ring at the end of each stalk. The limestone karst, cut by runnels and cavities, is known as lapiaz and provides environments for many lime loving plants. | |
