Srinivasa Ramanujan (December 22, 1887-April 26, 1920) was an Indian mathematician who lived during the era of British Rule in India. He was largely self-taught, and had very little formal training in mathematics. He made important contributions to the fields of mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions. | |
