Bias (fl. 6th century BCE), Greek philosopher and one of the Seven Sages of Greece. Bias lived in the Greek city state of Priene. He is known as a public defender in legal disputes and for his essentially good nature. he believed that the highest duty of man was to be good to others. However, his advice was to believe that most men are bad. Below the image, is a seven line latin poem by Roman poet Ausonius.
