White garden snail (Theba pisana). This species is native to the Mediterranean region. However, it has become an invasive species in many other countries across the globe, including South Africa. This snail is a significant agricultural pest of citrus, vines, legume crops, cereals and other agricultural crops. White garden snails usually lives in coastlands, in or near sandy habitats.
