Artwork of the ceratopsian dinosaur styracosaurus. The ceratopsians were a diverse group of dinosaurs - the most celebrated member being triceratops - that thrived during the Cretaceous period. Their remains have been found in North America, Europa and Asia. Styracosaurus reached a length of about 5.5 metres, substantial but still relatively small compared to triceratops. Only one species is currently known, S. albertensis, which hails from Canada. | |
