The Orange and Green Laser Corys (Corydoras aeneus) range through the Amazon River and many of its tributaries. This species is polymorphic and can be found in a wide variety of colors. Corydoras are a diverse group of catfishes from South America there are over 160 described species and descriptions of new species are still common. Many species do well in aquariums and the export of these fishes is an important revenue stream for small communities along the Amazon. This individual was photographed in the Peruvian Amazon in 2018.
