Antique watch restoration tests. Machine rotating restored watches to ensure that they work properly in various positions. These watches were rebuilt by watch-makers who are salvaging and restoring antique pocket watches, making them into new wristwatches. Since pocket watches were made to operate in a vertical position, the restored watches must be checked to be sure they work when worn on a wrist. This bespoke tester was constructed from an automatic watch winder. Photographed in November 2019, at Vortic Watch Company, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. | |
