POTS is a condition in which a change from lying to standing causes an abnormally large increase in heart rate. The device used here is a 'Reveal' device, an internal cardiac monitor used to track the patient's heart rate. A keloid scar consists of a mass of collagen fibres, forming as a result of a defective healing process.
