World War II worker morale poster, 1943. With the slogan 'We Can Do it!', this poster was designed by J. Howard Miller and published by Westinghouse Electric for internal use. It was later known as 'Rosie the Riveter' after the name used for the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II. This poster later became an iconic image due to extensive use from the 1980s onwards to promote feminism, women's rights, and women in politics. | |
