Grizzly Bears are significant in the culture of Native American Indians for centuries and they maintain the endure in high esteem. The Native American tribes, a lot of which think the are still a representation of a deity, revere these powerful creatures and also have held them in good respect, recognizing their size, strength, speed and art. The grizzly bear (Ursus arctos ssp.) is a large population of the brown bear inhabiting North America. Its original range included much of the Great Plains and the southwestern states, but it has been extirpated in most of those areas.
