U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Response Team use pH test strips to track the amount of acid rain in the air after the Kilauea volcanic eruption, on May 20, 2018. As part of a FEMA mission-assignment, EPA is working with the Hawaii Department of Health to help keep residents safe by installing air monitoring stations, which provide data on sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, and particulate levels. | |
