| Human. The overall distributions of non-B DNA motifs in all the chromosomes in each species are plotted using Circos. Circos is a software package for visualizing data in a circular composition to show connections between objects or between positions, which are difficult to visually organize when the underlying layout is linear. Circos is used for the identification and analysis of similarities and differences arising from comparisons of genomes. Although the right-handed double helical B-form DNA is most common under physiological conditions, DNA is dynamic and can adopt a number of alternative structures.
