Twigs and developing cones of the blue needled form of the Atlas Cedar; Cedrus atlantica (formerly C. libani spp. atlantica) glaucus. It is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the Rif, and to the Tell Atlas in Algeria. Several cultivated forms have been developed, including a weeping and a dwarf form as well as this blue needled variety. Cones of the true cedars grow upward on the branches.
