Lead bromide precipitate, 3 of 5. This series shows a progression as lead (II) nitrate (Pb(NO3)2) is added drop by drop to a test tube containing potassium bromide (KBr). Both solutions are 0.5 M concentration. Lead (II) bromide precipitate (PbBr2) is formed as a result: KBr + Pb(NO3)2 -> PbBr2 + KNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction. | |
