Three visual representations of a Klein bottle. A Klein bottle is a two dimensional manifold which can only exist in four dimensions. The 19th century German mathematician Felix Klein conceived of a bottle formed by connecting two Mobius loops together to form a single side without boundaries – there is no inside or outside - and this can only be realized in four dimensions. The manifold can be described with a set of parametric equations. | |
