Gemsbok (Oryx gazella) locking horns in a territorial dispute. Male gemsbok use their horns mostly to defend their territories, while females use their horns to defend against predators. This large antelope eats grass and leaves and can go without water for long periods. The gemsbok lives in savannah in parts of southern and eastern Africa.
