Mosaic satellite image of the Cerealia Facula, on the dwarf planet Ceres. This is the brightest of several bright surface features, or faculae, discovered on Ceres. It is located in the Occator crater. The bright spots are thought to be the result of salts that have been brought to Ceres' surface by Geysers or other geothermal activity. Image obtained by the Framing Camera on NASA's Dawn space probe. | |
