Starburst galaxy HFLS3, artwork. HFLS3 is a distant galaxy in the constellation of Draco, originating about 880 million years after the Big Bang. Its discovery was announced on 18 April 2013. It is starburst galaxy, undergoing an exceptionally high rate of star formation, producing nearly 3, 000 solar masses of stars a year. It was found by the Herschel Space Telescope and is estimated to have 35 billion stars. | |
