The Saturn V stack and its mobile launch tower are mounted on a huge crawler-transporter. Apollo 12 took place from 14-24 November 1969. It was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, with Charles 'Pete' Conrad and Alan Bean descending to the lunar surface on 19 November 1969.
