Helen Redfield (1900-1988), American geneticist. Redfield is best known for her work on crossing over and genetic recombination. She received her PhD in zoology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1921. She then taught at Stanford University before becoming a research fellow at Columbia University working in Thomas Hunt Morgan's laboratory. | |
