Cladosictis with its prey, illustration. This extinct prehistoric mammal is classed as a metatherian (marsupial). Its fossils are found in Patagonia in South America. It lived from around 17 to 15 million years ago during the Early to Middle Miocene. It reached lengths of around 80 centimetres. | |
