Female green turtle (Chelonia mydas) ascending to breathe. There are two remoras attached to the turtle's underside. Green sea turtles are found in warm tropical waters. They are herbivorous, eating algae and sea grasses, and can grow up to 1.5 metres in length. Remoras are fish that have a symbiotic relationship with many large sea animals. They attach to their host by a sucker on top of their head. They clean the host's skin of parasites and eat left-over scraps. The host in turn provides protection for the remora.
