The cooling cap machinery is at lower left. Docetaxel (also known under the brand name Taxotere) is a cytotoxic drug that works by preventing cell division. The administration of chemotherapy drugs can cause patients to overheat, hence the use of the cooling cap. The prostate is a small gland found in men just below the bladder, surrounding the urethra, the tube urine passes through. Prostate cancer is most prevalent in men over 50 years of age. | |
