Michael Glazer, British physicist. Glazer, together with John Cosier, invented a method to cool small crystals in a very cold stream of gas. They developed the Cryostream device (seen here), to study a class of crystals called perovskites, many of which are used as sensors because they generate an electric current when squeezed. Recent research suggests that perovskites could also be used in the manufacture of solar cells. | |
