The mountain lion is also known as the puma,panther or cougar. It is found in South and Central America,and the western parts of North America. It lives in a variety of habitats. Each individual has a large territory in which it hunts mammals such as deer. It hunts both by day and at night. It can climb trees,and also stalks and ambushes its prey.
