Silver leaf monkeys. Silver,or silvered, leaf monkeys (Presbytis cristata) with their young. These monkeys, also known as silvered langurs, inhabit the moist forests of south-eastern Asia. The young are covered in orange fur, which is replaced by grey as they mature. Infants may suckle from several females, not solely from their mother. These monkeys live in troops dominated by a single male, containing several females and their young. Each troop has a well-defined territory in which they forage for fruit and leaves | |
