Warty frogfish (Antennarius matulatus). Although brightly coloured, this fish is inconspicuous as it stays motionless for long periods and looks similar to rocks and sponges. Its colouration helps it to avoid predators and to catch its prey. It lies in wait for smaller fish, engulfing them when they near its mouth. It uses a lure (not seen) on its forehead, which can be wiggled to simulate a fish or shrimp. The warty frogfish inhabits reefs of the tropical Indo-Pacific region.
