Huli tribesmen. Male dancers from the Huli tribe of Papua New Guinea,in ceremonial clothing. As well as oil and body paint, the men are wearing large wigs made from their own hair decorated with feathers and flowers. Various laplaps, fans of leaves that cover their buttocks, are seen. The Huli people use shifting cultivation, growing crops on cleared areas of forest until they become infertile. They then move on and leave the area to recover its fertility.
