During ejaculation the sperm pass out of the two testes into the vas deferens tube (pink,lower centre). The sperm are mixed with fluid from the thin seminal vesicle (dark red,centre right). More fluid is added as the mixture moves through the prostate gland (pink) below the bladder (oval,centre). The mixture exits through the urethra tube in the penis (lower left). The spongy tissue (light pink) in the penis fills with blood to hold it erect. The rectum (anal passage) is at right | |
