Developing flower and fruit of the dildo cactus,Cephalocereus royeni. The relatively small flowers are nocturnal and the edible fruit turn red at maturity. The Dildo cactus,is found in the tropical dry forests of Puerto Rico,St. Thomas,St. Croix,Mona,Culebra,Antigua and other West Indian Islands. This specimen was photographed growing in the Gu nica forest preserve,Puerto Rico. It has been introduced into some Pacific islands where it has become an invasive pest species
